Monica Shore charms her audience by simply being herself. She sings jazz with lyrical sensitivity and a warm and soulful tone, presenting unique interpretations of well-loved standards. On stage, Monica playfully explores her vast range and ventures confidently around the melody, demonstrating the full potential of her instrument.
Monica’s indisputable talent has granted her several performances at the Montreal International Jazz Festival; one in 2006 with Joel Miller & Mandala and the other in 2008 under her own name, the Monica Shore Quintet. She has also been warmly received at Montreal’s Upstairs Jazz Bar and at Dièse Onze Jazz Club with her band and sings regularly at Modavie Restaurant accompanied by local jazz musicians.
